The fine for distracted driving rose from $172.00 to $ 287.00.
It is difficult to extrapolate how many traffic fatalities are related to distracted driving.
But Sgt. David Green, with the Edmonton Police Force, said that having cell phone conversations has been found to slow driver’s
reaction times and puts them at a higher risk for crashes.
