Dear Mr. Minister:

Ms.Tavares:

We continue to be advised that Alberta Transportation staff is requiring Alberta seniors to complete and pass the DriveABLE computer based test in order to qualify for driver licensing.

The multi-million, multi-national, private for profit DriveABLE Assessment Corporation Inc. has falsely published that their assessment is award winning research, a neurocognitive assessment procedure that can determine who is a safe driver and

– predict actual on-road performance
– measure the cognitive skills needed for safe driving
– protect safe drivers from misidentification

We submit that Alberta citizens are being abused and harmed by this dishonest protocol.

We ask your offices to address this matter.
We respectfully request to be in receipt of a response by the 3nd of August, 2018

Thank you.
Yours truly,

We allege that Alberta Transportation is actively
promoting the abuse of law abiding, tax paying citizens.

Dear Ms.Tavares:

Further to your letter of April 27, 218, we find your response unsatisfactory.
In your lengthy letter, you have failed to address our concern that we continue to be
advised that Alberta Transportation staff are requiring Alberta seniors to complete and
pass the DriveABLE computer based test
in order to qualify for driver licensing.

Please be advised:

1) DriveABLE has harmed and is harming safe drivers. DriveABLE has misclassified drivers as unsafe and cognitively impaired when in fact these misclassified drivers were found to be cognitively intact and safe drivers.

2) DriveABLE Assessment Corp inc. has not apologized to them or remedied their expenses in their struggle to become relicensed.

3) Individuals, who have been abused / misclassified by the DriveABLE assessment, some of them Class I licensees, who then wished to re-obtain their right to drive, have had to undergone lengthy psychological testing, sometimes head scans, extensive reports from their physician, gerontological testing, all at their own financial and emotional expense.
If drivers do not determine to endure the emotional and financial abuse, they will have permanently lost their right to drive.

By your obvious, intentional failure to respond to our concerns, it appears that you not only fail to protect Alberta citizens from this predatory, corrupt agency but find it acceptable that your office staff demands that they submit and be violated by them.

We allege that Alberta Transportation is actively promoting the abuse of decent, law abiding, tax paying citizens.

We ask your office to address our allegations.

We respectfully request to be in receipt of a response by the 3nd of August, 2018

Thank you.
Yours truly,

c.c. The Honourable Brian Mason, Minister of Transportation.
