Dear Mr. Minister:

Renewing Driver’s license

Recently we called the office of Dr. James Wong MD, Calgary Trail, Edmonton,

in regard to the requirement for renewal of Driving License. The phone

receptionist informed us that seniors renewing their license must first undergo

a ‘mental’ test. When we questioned that statement, she strongly informed us that

it was a “requirement” of Alberta Health. She further said that Dr. Wong requires all

senior clients, who wish to renew their driving license, to take the mental test (Simard MD).

Please advise us in regard to this matter.
