Expanding Supports for Vulnerable Albertans
Alberta’s government investing 21 million to increase access for adults impacted by
sexual violence and abuse News Release – August 12, 2026

Dear Minister Searle Turton:

1) We applaud the generous funding and concern regarding those who are being subjected \
to sexual violence and abuse,

.
2) We note however, that there appears to be no acknowledgement
or concern for the frail, dependent elderly who are being subjected to sexual violence.
We have been appealing to agencies and government for many years concerning this matter.

3) Please note our statement of complaint as cited on the Internet,

4) We are again asking your office and our government that this matter of males
bathing females, giving personal, perineal care and changing Incontinence articles be
disallowed.
Conversely also, females, giving personal care, sometimes disrespectful,
abusive care to elderly males. We have heard both anecdotal and personal accounts of
demeaning treatment and outright sexual violence. The present protocol facilitates sexual violence.

We respectfully ask your office to investigate our stated concerns.
