A Canadian citizen was apprehended by police on the behest of a family member and detained at the Royal Alexandra, only to be released after intervention from a lawyer. The senior was not served the apprehension document, in breach of the Mental Health Act. Only until he attended at the courthouse was he able to obtain and see the apprehension order.
