Letter to Police

November 16, 2010

Detective Bradley W. Mandrusiak,

Edmonton Police Service,

9620 – 103A Ave. NW

Edmonton, Alberta T5H 0-H7

Re: —, 76 years of age, deceased, April 22, 1989

We allege that on the afternoon of April 22, 1989, a person or persons filled the Alzheimer unit, Jubilee Lodge Nursing Home Century Tub with hot, scalding water and attempted to submerge Mrs —. When she resisted, the person/s strongly thumped her on the thorax, to get her down into the water. This resulted in trauma to the thorax and resutling retrograde blood aspiration.

Considering that the post-mortem lividity was distributed to the anterior parts of her body with blanching below the right breast and at the right lateral and anterior thigh. We submit that she must have been lying prone at time of death, not sitting upright.

Her hair was moist, why?

Who moved the bath chair?

We ask your investigation into this matter.

Respectfully submitted,

Elder Advocates of Alberta Society

Letter to Chief of Police
