Elder Advocates Of Alberta Society & et al v.the Queen et al.
We are pleased to announce that Court of Queens Bench,Madame Justice Sheila Greckolhas certified this action.

This action is not primarily about money, this is about rights,

about the way the government treats its’ citizens.

This is a landmark case, the first of its kind in Canadian history

The court has acknowledged that there are serious issues that

need to be examined.

We maintain that the residents of long-term care facilities have

been subsidizing health-care costs that are insured under

the Canada Health Act.

In her ruling, Court of Queens Bench, Madame Justice SheilaGreckol, , wrote that the lawsuit can proceed on allegations ofbreach of contract, breach of duty, the overcharging of fees andunlawful discrimination under the Charter of Rights.

It should be noted, this concerns only 0.4 % of the Alberta population,

essentially those elderly persons who built the wealth of this province.

These are the issues.
