An Edmonton senior, a multimillionaire was detained

at the RAH active treatment ward in pyjamas for approx.

7 weeks, part of this time under guard. Since then he

is being held in a locked unit at an assisted living facility

together with persons who suffer advanced dementia.

A complaint has been made to the Protection For

Persons In Care against a gerontology physician

who told him “You have no rights” when the detained

man asked for information & against his children who

callously tell him he will never get out of there and that

he has no rights. Both complaints are under

investigation. Staff denied a lawyer to visit.
