An $850,000 class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of itsresidents, who allege ongoing heating and cooling problems.in a November 7/08, Statement of Claim filed by representativeplaintiff Eleanor McCullough, it is alleged that there have beendifficulties with the heating and cooling systems at Caleb Manor,6411 199 St. from the time it opened in 2000.Caleb Manoris an assisted living facility.Within the past years,assisted living facilities have mushroomed across the province.When these facilities, which house frail, vulnerable seniors werefirst built, the Alberta Government did notrequire them to belicensed. Such facilities are now beinglicensed after the fact.
