A Toronto man faces four charges following an elder abuse

investigation at a home in the city’s west end.

Police say officers called to the house Tuesday found an

“extremely neglected” 60-year-old woman in a bedroom.

The woman was treated for extreme malnutrition, dehydration

and other health issues.

Police further allege a 95-year-old woman was removed from the same

private residence in April, also suffering from neglect.

Charges against 55-year-old Andrew Jones include criminal negligence

causing bodily harm and of failing to provide the necessities of life.

He was scheduled to appear in court later today.
