A Washington County nurse is facing elderly abuse charges.

26-year-old Certified Nursing Assistant Cigi Serrevera Snell,

surrendered herself at the Jackson County jail in Marianna..

Snell is accused of slapping a 90-year-old woman in the face,

while caring for her at the Signature Health Care Center in

Jackson County. She was fired from her job because of the

alleged incident.

Snell is charged with one count of abuse of an elderly adult.

If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine
