Alberta’s Long Term accommodation fees willincrease by five per

cent as of October 1, 2007.

The increase will amount to about $40 more a month.

The increase is expected to generate about $11.7 million more a year

forpublic,private and not-for-profit facility operators.

The last fee increase was in 2003 when they went up 40 per cent for a

standard ward and 48 per cent for a private room.
