1922 – 2016

Mrs. Myrtle Carol (McLeod) Hofer of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. David Hofer, passed away at the Legacy Lodge Care Home on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the age of 93 years.

Myrtle was born on December 12, 1922 in Carmangay, Alberta. She married her beloved David Hofer on November 21, 1940 in Lethbridge, Alberta and was his farming and ranching partner for 50 years before they retired in Lethbridge in 1993.

Besides her loving husband David, Myrtle was predeceased by her father Wellington Allen McLeod; her mother Annie (Cloke) McLeod; her six sisters Ethel, Lydia, Leona, Annie, Margaret, Muriel; brothers Howard, Roger, Norman, and Albert.

Myrtle is survived by her sister Lucille Leavitt; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

A private graveside service was held in the Mountain View Cemetery.
