There is no legislation to hold guardians accountable.
SENIORS ABUSED WITH IMPUNITY
Seniors are not protected under the Alberta Human Rights Legislation Age is not included in the area of services, accommodation, facilities and tenancy. In long term care facilities, seniors are being harmed with impunity becausethere is no viable, enforceable, protective legislation. It is time to legislate protection for seniors.
